Tengmalm’s Owl: one of the Pyrenees rarest and secretive birds.
Our walking Tengmalm’s Owl tour is Guided by one of the biologists in charge of monitoring this species. He will take you to nests known to be in use. Once the guide finds one occupied he will check the inside of the hole to see if there are chicks or eggs, at that moment the female flies out and lands on a close branch, we then have around 10 minutes to take pictures, after that time, or if the guide decides the bird is a bit stressed, we will leave.
Due to a very small population, we only do this 3 times per year, usually around May, please ask for our dates.
