Drinking Pond Mallorca
The North-East of Mallorca island preserves some healthy agricultural areas where a good number of birds occur. This is the perfect complement to your holidays in the island.
The island of Mallorca and especially its North-eastern sector preserves some exceptional natural sites such as s’Albufera de Mallorca, s’Albufereta or the last (or first) mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana. The agricultural environment is made up of a very diverse agroforestry mosaic landscape with a great wealth of bird species, especially where traditional land uses such as farming and extensive livestock are preserved.
Very close to Port d’Alcúdia, in an agricultural estate that preserves rainfed agriculture, graze lands and wild Olive trees and Pine groves, we have installed two different hides: one for a morning session with an elevated drinking pool to photograph forest birds and another in the afternoon with a ground-level drinking pool that attracts both small passerines and Red-legged Partridge, Stone Curlew and other species. At the time of booking we will tell you which one works best and when it is best to schedule your session.
Both photo hides are double and supplied with high quality one way glass. The species present in these hides vary depending on the time of year. As an orientation we can mention: Common Kestrel, Goldfinch, Serin, Green Finch, Song Thrush, Blackbird, Red-legged Partridge, Black Redstart, Chiffchaff, etc.
Once booked a Photo Logistics guide will meet you at the gates of the estate and lead you to the hide. The time of the meeting can be agreed at the time of booking depending on the season. The time for end of the session will be agreed with the guide.
Type of service: wooden hide with 2 seats and one way glass
Season: All year
