Eagle Owl Hide

Our newest hide in Llinars del Vallès (near Barcelona city) is dedicated to one of the most elusive bird, the Eagle Owl. Usually in the same session we also take photos on a Goshawk, which comes towards the sunset, before the Eagle Owl comes in.

We have been preparing this service for months and we can assure you that it has not been easy.

It takes a late afternoon and early evening session, it is quite surprising that the Eagle Owl comes with the sunset. Here we combine natural light at the beginning with lighting managed by us (you don’t have to bring flashes with you) when the natural light goes down. Up to two person session and in strict silence. That’s how sensitive an Eagle Owl’s ear is.

This is a very special service that needs to be explained in detail for the session to be successful. We will be happy to give you all the information.

The hide is equipped with lens sleeves and remains completely dark. You should be prepared to stay inside for about 2-3 hours.

The session starts 1 hour before sunset. Recommended lens: 400 or 500mm.

At the end of the session, wait for the guide to pick you up. DO NOT leave the hide on your own. Remember, this is a very skittish bird, so both entry and exit must be as quiet and quick as possible.
